I hate it when a cocktail recipe tells me to use one ounce of liquor in my cocktails.
Eeeewwww! Get away from me!
I say make your cocktails big enough so that you can sit down with friends and chat for a while. I don't want to have to get up and make another cocktail five minutes into my conversation.
Here is a very easy rule to make this cocktail by.
Use 2-1-1 as your portions. You chose how big or small you want your portions to be. You could make a pitcher of these so your portion of tequila could be two cups followed by one cup jalapeño simple syrup and one cup fresh lime juice. Want just one margarita? Use two parts tequila with one part each lime juice and jalapeño simple syrup. You get it.
Heres how to make this.
Tequila of your choice. Make it a good one.
Fresh squeezed lime juice. Depending on how many margaritas you're making, you may need a lot. It may take 10-12 limes to make one cup of lime juice. It really depends on how juicy they are.
Jalapeno Simple Syrup.
Salt or Tajin to salt the rim of your glass. Optional.
Jalapeno Simple Syrup
If you're going to salt the rim of your glass.
