Chicken Ranch Bacon Burgers

ingredients:

• 1 lb ground chicken. I used 2 chicken breasts and 2 chicken thighs.  I "ground" them myself in the cuisinart.  I like the dark meat in by chicken burgers.
• 1 (1-oz) package dry Ranch dressing mix
• 6 pieces of cooked and crumbled bacon
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 4 oz can diced green chilis, drained
• 1 large onion, thinly sliced
• hamburger buns
• Sliced avocado 

Instructions:

• Combine ground chicken, ranch dressing mix, cooked bacon, chilis, and cheddar cheese.
• Shape the chicken into 4 patties.
• In a large skillet with a lid, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and heat to medium-high heat.  Add the onions and cook for 3-4 minutes.
• Place the chicken patties directly onto of the onions in the skillet and cover with a lid.  Cook for about 4 minutes. Flip them once and cook for another 4-5 minutes until cooked thoroughly.
• Take the burgers with all the onions out of the skilled and rest them on a plate while you lay the burger buns in the same skillet and toast them for a few minutes.
• Smash the avocado onto the bottom part of a burger bun and place the chicken patty with the onions on top.

I served these with ranch potatoes. Just roast potatoes with some olive oil and dry ranch mix
