In April 2025, Rebecca completed a two-day Girls Empowerment Camp hosted by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department — a program her mother, Amber, helped create. This unique camp offers girls ages 14 to 18 a hands-on introduction to the world of firefighting. Over the course of the weekend, participants learn to operate chainsaws, climb aerial ladders, perform search and rescue drills, administer CPR, and pull hose lines to extinguish brush fires — all skills designed to challenge their limits and ignite their confidence. The experience was intense, and at times, Rebecca felt like giving up. But with determination and encouragement, she pushed through every challenge and completed the academy. We are so incredibly proud of her perseverance, strength, and spirit.
