More or less depending on your heat preference. 5g Diamond Crystal kosher salt Instructions "Deflaming" an onion refers to a process of rinsing or soaking raw onions in water to reduce their pungent flavor and the tear-inducing effects of sulfurous compounds released when they're cut. Rinse or soak in cold water: You can either quickly rinse the sliced onion under cold running water for about 30 seconds, or soak it in cold water for 5-10 minutes. Mix It Up Combine all ingredients in an appropriately sized bowl. Mix well to incorporate. Taste & Adjust Season to taste with more salt or lime juice as needed. Done. That’s it.
