Ingredients
1 cup warm water 2 and 1/4 teaspoons active yeast (1 standard package) 1/3 cup honey 1/4 cup avocado oil 1 teaspoon salt 3 and 1/4 cups all purpose flour (390 grams) 2 tablespoons melted butter (for on top of rolls) Directions In a small bowl. Combine the warm water, yeast, and honey. Stir lightly and let it sit for 10 minutes until it becomes frothy. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and avocado oil. Add the frothy yeast mixture to the flour bowl and mix well. Turn the dough to onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 3-4 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Divide into 15 equal portions. Place your dough onto a cooking scale and divide by 15 to have equal amounts if you like. Shape each portion into a ball and place them into a greased 9x13 dish or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover the shaped rolls with a clean kitchen toweling let them rise for 45-minutes, or until puffy. Gently brush the rolls with the melted butter before placing them in the over that’s been preheated to 375 degrees. Bake the rolls for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Remove the rolls from the over and set on a cooling rack and brush the tops of the buns with the remaining melted butter. Once cooled, slice horizontally through the middle of the entire section of the 12 rolls. Carefully place top section back on top until you are ready to make your sliders.
